Calling All Kayak Anglers for the Bayou La Batre Kayak Classic

- Advertisment -

The Bayou La Batre Kayak Classic is returning for its fifth consecutive year, further securing its title as the largest kayak fishing tournament in Alabama. Last year, the tournament set the bar high, with the 2018 event poised to meet and exceed it.

Every year the event grows bigger, all thanks to the numerous live entertainments, vendors, food, and of course, the world class fishing. With all of this and more, the BLBKC amounts to one of the most premier river tournaments in the Southeast, with the event offering something for the entire family, including a junior division for kids to participate in.

The BLBKC is made possible by sponsorships from companies such as Alabama Power, Yellowhammer Fishing, Greer’s, Mosterller Medical, ITS, City of Bayou La Batre, Cold Blooded Fishing, Southern Kayak Fishing and Esfeller Construction, but is always welcoming new sponsors to join the effort.

Even if you’re not planning on fishing, you’re sure to score big at the Bayou La Batre Kayak Classic. This year’s event is scheduled for August 4 from 6am – 3pm.
