B-Flow Sessions is hosted by Brad Burden and explores what it truly means to be in the flow, on the river and in life. Each week, Brad sits down with the top leaders, innovators, competitors, instructors and adventurers in whitewater.
They share how they found their flow, what motivates them, epic days on the water and advice for paddlers at all levels.
In every episode
Brad asks each guest about their favorite rivers, kayaks, people and places in the whitewater world.
Brad closes by asking guests how they would spend their final day on the river, and, most importantly, who would share it with them.
Meet the host
Brad Burden is a whitewater kayaker who has returned to the sport that shaped much of his life. During the heyday of freestyle kayaking, Brad competed as a professional freestyle kayaker sponsored by Dagger Kayaks. He spent several years as an instructor at the Nantahala Outdoor Center and has guided rivers throughout North, Central and South America, including the Futaleufu.
After taking a 20-plus year break from kayaking, Brad found his way back to whitewater with a renewed appreciation for the people, places, stories and experiences that make kayaking special. Through conversations with athletes, instructors, explorers, industry leaders and lifelong paddlers, B-Flow Sessions explores not only how we paddle but why we paddle, and what keeps us connected to the river.
Today Brad competes in Masters level freestyle and downriver races, creates instructional content, teaches kayaking at NOC and leads adventure trips in Chile with Pucon Kayak Retreat. For Brad, the return to the sport after such a long break is all about reconnecting with the people and places that make it so amazing.
