Coleman Exponent FastBack Kayak

- Advertisment -

The Paddling Life crew loves surprises and nothing surprised us more this summer than the Coleman Exponent FastBack Kayak ($345). Yeah, we thought Coleman was for Ace Hardwear too but they’re making a huge comeback with their new, more-hardcore, Exponent line. The FastBack is a one-person workhorse with a tough laminated, woven nylon hull so you can let the kids bang it up floating local Class II or take it out for a solo fishing mission. At ten-feet, it comes with a dual bladder hydration system, a retractable spray skirt, plenty of storage and durable handles so you can ream on it when you need to. We particularly like the retractable spray skirt so youngins’ can get used to the feeling of being in a covered kayak without getting claustrophobic. Plus this thing folds down to the size of a golf bag for travel. And at the price, it’s as easy on your pocket book as it is on the trunk.
