Fisherpeople rejoice. Northwest River Supplies (NRS), has expanded its fishing raft line-up for 2024 with the all-new Approach Fishing Series and the upgraded Slipstream Fishing Series. But you still have to match the hatch, set the hook and reel in your catch…

Building on the release of the Slipstream in 2022, NRS’s new line is engineered for maximum performance and durability, featuring innovative construction materials and an advanced design for stability, maneuverability and safety on the water—guaranteed to enhance the adventure angler’s experience.

“The Approach Series and the enhanced Slipstream Series embody our relentless pursuit of excellence in outdoor gear. Building on the excitement and success of the Slipstream, we listened to angler feedback; adjusting dimensions and expanding on the most sought-after features. And the Approach is a natural evolution—making the adventure angling experience even more accessible,” says NRS’s Mark Deming. “We’re excited to introduce these cutting-edge products, empowering anglers to explore new waters and create unforgettable experiences on the river.”

Fish on! NRS’s new Approach series…

The Approach Fishing Series offers anglers unparalleled access to remote waters with its easy-transport, lightweight design. Crafted with smaller tubes and a robust drop-stitch insert floor, Approach rafts excel in navigating skinny water, providing anglers access to previously unreachable fishing grounds. A lightweight design makes it easy to transport in truck beds or on roof racks, and can easily be carried by two people, giving anglers the freedom to take off on adventure whenever they want, to wherever they want. The adjustable, customizable frame is easily configured for what the day demands, from full-luxury fishing to an ultralight format for light-and-fast missions. It includes integrated bi-directional rod holders and quick-release anchor system. Built with welded PVC construction and featuring slip-resistant foam protection, these rafts ensure anglers stay secure while standing. The Approach Series is available in two sizes—Approach 100 and Approach 120—and redefines the limits of where a boat can take you.

The award-winning Slipstream Fishing Series receives an upgrade, further solidifying its status with enhancements aimed at boosting low water drafting via increased drop-stitch floor volume, an increased thickness from 4 inches to 6 inches, and a change from a pocket floor to insert floor. Molded thigh hooks with cup holders and storage tray improve angler stability, comfort and safety, and the streamlined smooth single-panel bow and stern transition areas provide unmatched tracking performance. Package includes integrated rod holders and quick-release anchor system. Available in three sizes—Slipstream 106, Slipstream 129 and Slipstream 142—and a lighter design, these rafts provide ample space and durability for anglers embarking on any excursion.
