Longtime Industry Vet Kelley Woolsey Joins Hobie

Bringing over 30 years of water sports and lifestyle brand experience, Kelley Woolsey has joined Hobie as Vice President of Global Sales, Service and Marketing. Woolsey will work with the dealer and sales teams in Oceanside, CA.

“We could not be more thrilled to have Kelley join the Hobie team,” says Hobie CEO Mike Suzuki. “His passion for the brand is unmatched, and his strong industry and leadership experience will have an immediate impact.”

“I was drawn to Hobie due to the authentic, grassroots culture, in combination with ownership’s unwavering commitment to the business,” said Woolsey. “The team at Hobie lives and believes in their message and their culture, and I was eager to become a part of it. I am thrilled and excited to have this incredible opportunity.”

Woolsey’s career is highlighted by executive leadership roles at multiple paddlesports brands. Most recently, Woolsey worked with Bonafide, YakAttack and Big Adventures as Vice President of Marketing & Sales. Prior to this, Woolsey spent several years with Montreal, Quebec-based Pelican International as well as a decade with Greenville-based Confluence Watersports (now Confluence Outdoor) as their EVP of Marketing & Sales. Hobie Cat Company manufactures, distributes and markets a collection of watercraft worldwide, including recreation and racing sailboats, pedal-driven recreation and fishing kayaks, inflatable kayaks and fishing boats, standup pedal and paddleboards, plus a complementary array of parts and accessories.
