Hobie announced the addition of fishing industry PR company Traditions Media to its team effective February 1, 2019.

“As the sport of kayaking continues to reach new audiences, we look for every opportunity to communicate our message to the angling enthusiast,” says Keeton Eoff, Director of Global Strategy, Hobie. “We also feel that Traditions Media has the staff talent to complement our efforts and effectively support our many initiatives within the space.”“We are honored to be aligned with the originator of kayak pedal drive —the MirageDrive®—and the bellwether brand and leader in kayak fishing,” says Noel Vick, Traditions Media President. “Beyond being an originator of the sport, Hobie innovation and quality are those all other kayak brands chase.”

“It’s a natural fit given that the Traditions Media team is natively full of kayak anglers. Personally, the kayak is my default watercraft, and I fish from it all the time. It’s nothing to fish 10 miles with a Mirage Drive outfitted Hobie kayak and not even know it.”
