Rafters Claim Bigfoot Sighting in Colorado?

Not, it wasn’t on a river costume night, or an overly hairy raft guide out taking a leak. In a post that has already garnered millions of views, a group of rafters in Colorado reported seeing something that looked like Bigfoot on a rafting outing earlier this summer.

The story came about when—with footage originally published by outfitter Colorado River Expeditions—the Daily Mail reported that a whitewater rafting group was traveling along the Upper Colorado River when the crew pulled over to the shore for a break. At that point, lead guide Logan Kirk and about a dozen others are said to have spotted the creature in mountainous, pinyon-pine-covered terrain about 500 yards away.

One of the passengers captured the mysterious figure roaming in the woods, with the video from the scene showing a Bigfoot-looking being peeking out through the trees and then disappearing.

“We were floating the Upper Colorado and pulled over about 40 yads before Bench 3,” said Kirk in explaining the video segment. “Someone pointed up the mountain and yelled ‘Bear!” but it wasn’t a bear. What we saw? We don’t know, exactly….”

The video has since gotten more than 620,000 views on the Colorado River Expeditions Instagram page, with more than a million more elsewhere on the web.

Not a boaters-spy-Bigfoot believer? Watch it for yourself and you be the judge.
