Expect to see some Old Town boats coming to a festival near you this summer. The company, which also owns Ocean Kayak, announced that it will join the 2018 Live Outside and Play Tour, a seven-month excursion to the country’s top outdoor hot spots led by the Blue Ridge Outdoors and Elevation Outdoors Road Team.

“We’re thrilled to be a sponsor of the Live Outside and Play tour,” says Brand Manager Ryan Lilly. “It embraces who we are and what we find most important—a life lived outside and on the water. We hope those who encounter the Road Team will become inspired to spend more time doing just that!”

The team, Roxy Harbitter and Ben Dawson, will be focusing on community outreach and getting those they encounter excited about adventuring outdoors. They will also be sharing the ups and downs of life on the road as they journey thousands of miles together in a van packed with gear. They have scheduled visits to more than 20 festivals nationwide, including major events like LOCKN’ Festival, Roanoke GO Fest, Gauley Fest, CKS Paddlefest, FIBArk and the GoPro Mountain Games. Attendees will have the opportunity to see boat demos first-hand, learn about the latest Old Town watercraft innovations and even enter to win a Castine Touring Kayak.

“Being on the water is a huge part of the outdoor lifestyle in both the southeast and Colorado. We’re excited to partner with Old Town this year to take our water adventures to the next level,” says Elizabeth O’Connell, publisher, Elevation Outdoors Magazine.
