Kokatat, the 39-year-old independent watersports apparel and accessories company, is proud to welcome Jeff Turner to the Arcata, Cali. Headquarters, as the new Sales and Marketing Manager, effective immediately.

Jeff has over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management leadership roles in the outdoor and specialty sports industries. He spent 6 years at Swiss Army Brands/Victorinox as VP Marketing and President, Director of Sales and Marketing for Horny Toad Activewear, and General Manager of Nikon Eyewear.

He brings much knowledge and enthusiasm to his new position at Kokatat, where he will be a member of the company’s management team and provide team leadership for the sales and marketing department. His responsibilities will be on the domestic and global scale for the company’s paddlesports business.

“We will be initially focused on the development and implementation of our long term strategic marketing and sales plan, supporting the continued success of the global Kokatat brand,” said Jeff.

Immediately prior to relocating to the Redwoods in Arcata, California, where Kokatat started and has remained for 40 years, Jeff attended the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2010 to begin his new role. “In Salt Lake I was able to see the extent and depth of the respect for the Kokatat brand, team and products,” he says.

“After an extensive search to find the right match for the position, we are more than pleased to have found Jeff and look forward to having such a qualified personality and businessman on board with us,” said Founder and CEO, Steve O’Meara.
