For more than 20 years, the family-run business of Ashland, Virginia’s Cudas Footwear has been providing both leisure-loving paddlers and adventure-seekers with comfortable, effective footwear. Their watersport sandals can be found in various styles for men and women and for Spring 2014 will focus on freshwater, with new styles and colors inspired by the rivers and mountains of Virginia.

“With the rise of SUP, canoeing and kayaking sports, Cudas created paddling partnerships with SUP outfits and rafting and outdoor companies. Their feedback and retailer buzz affirms that Cudas is creating purposeful shoes that perform well, are comfortable and look great,” said Andy Jacobs, company founder. “Cudas also features an attractive price point that has resonated with our retailer partners.”

The new Cudas Footwear supports the theory that gone are the days of ugly and uncomfortable water shoes. With thoughtful detail, they have added products to the line that feature sneaker-like styles that are more breathable while providing full-coverage. Features also include elastic lacing with Velcro closures, and perforated soles to create anti-slip. The new shoes made their debut at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in August and will be seen at trade shows throughout the year before hitting retail shelves in the Spring in outdoor speciality stores, surf shops and active lifestyle boutiques in the U.S. and beyond.
