As President and Founder of Voodoo Technologies, Jeff Rivest is pleased to announce the arrival of a new partner in its management team. Following the repurchase of two minority shareholders – Guy Fortin and Normand Corbin – in December 2007, Marc Pelland has joined the team as an equal partner through financial investments. Marc Pelland is a Chartered Financial Analyst and President of Woodchuck inc., a Quebec based skateboard manufacturer.

The two entrepreneurs have known each other for more than four years and even though their businesses are in different areas of the sporting goods industry, they both agree that this new partnership will lead to interesting synergies. “I have been talking to Jeff for a while about my interest in Voodoo and I am happy to be part of this dynamic and creative team”, said Marc.

With this new ownership, Voodoo comes forward with a reinforced vision that is, more than ever, focused on the customer. “Our quest is to have innovative quality products that meet the market’s needs at a competitive price. We want to provide our dealers with the best selection of products to satisfy the savvy kayak customer as well as the newcomers”, said Rivest.

With more than forty models available through its 3 brands – Riot, Azul & Sun – Voodoo will add on to its current lineup with a series of new boats that will be launched for the next season. Stay tuned!
