MTI Life Jackets has just hired Three Mountain Associates to their sales team, fortifying their presence in the Northeast. Led by Tom McCarthy, Three Mountain Asssociates is a force to be reckoned with in the outdoor industry with some big names such as Osprey, Leki, and Pelican under their reign.

“The strengths of our group lie in our diversity of experience and shared commitment to our customers and vendors,” explains McCarthy. “Our combined experiences run the gamut from small independent storefronts to multi-national corporations, and we bring that broad point of view to each and every interaction.”

Three Mountain Associates’ Rob Scharges, the manager in Northern New England and Upstate New York, already has a history with MTI Life Jackets. “Gordon and I, along with our Sale Directors, Jim Travers, all worked with Rob years ago at Mad River Canoe when it was based in Waitsfield, VT,” says Lili Colby, Chief PFDIVA at MTI. “It’s a little scary to have that much Paddlesports knowledge in one place. We joke that we’re putting the band back together!”

Customer service is also upgrading at MTI with the addition of Lorisa White to the Plymouth headquarters. White has quite a bit of experience to bring to the table from being a former manager at Eastern Mountain Sports and a sales specialist at REI. “We’re excited to welcome these qualified, passionate outdoor industry professionals to our team,” said Jim Travers, Director of Sales with MTI. “With Lorisa supporting the sales efforts of Jim Ramey in the Northwest and Three Mountain Associates in the Northeast, we believe we have the most knowledgeable team of sales people in the paddlesports business.”

MTI Life Jackets will be showing at Summer Outdoor Retailer, 360 Adventure Collective in Manchester, NH, Paddlesports Retailer, and Surf Expo.
