FLUID KAYAKS TAKES OVER DISTRIBUTION IN THE USA
All activities relating to Fluid Kayaks in the USA will be handled by the head office in South Africa with immediate effect. Fluid Kayaks and Go Big Distribution have agreed that Go Big Distribution will not continue with the distribution of Fluid Kayaks in the USA market.
Go Big Distribution played a huge roll in establishing the Fluid brand in the USA market. We thank Bryon Dorr, owner of Go Big Distribution, for the hard work over the last three years and wish him well with all future endeavours.
At the same time we want to assure all our dealers and customers in the USA that Fluid Kayaks is here to stay. The past year has been very successful for us. Fluid dominates both the recreational as well as whitewater markets in South Africa, with our sales of recreational boats growing by some 200%. Exports to Europe have increased by almost 170% year on year, a presence has been established in Canada and exports to southern hemisphere countries are also experiencing growth.
Having reached the end of the northern summer season, the manufacturing will temporarily be moved back to South Africa in order to supply our southern hemisphere clients and cut on shipping cost. It is still our aim to establish a manufacturing facility of our own in Canada to better serve our northern customers.
