Frampton, Quebec – July 26, 2007

At the Summer Market Open Air Demo in Salt Lake City next month (August 9-11) Esquif Canoes will introduce two new open canoes to their already impressive line up; the Spanish Fly and the Prelude.

Jacques Chasse owner of Esquif Canoes recently purchased the molds from Pyranha Kayaks; Pyranha introduced these boats in 2002 and Esquif is very excited about the additions. “This is a fantastic opportunity for Esquif to expand our offerings in particular because of the rotomolded manufacturing process; we are committed to providing canoes that meet the needs of all paddlers. Offering these rotomolded canoes will provide the durability and longevity that serious creek boaters want and need” says Chasse.

The introduction of these canoes rounds out the material offerings of Esquif to now include Rotomolded Polyethylene.

The Spanish Fly and The Prelude are two boat designs brought to the paddling community by late legendary canoe designer Frankie Hubbard.

Esquif Sales Representative and well-known canoeing World Champion Eli Helbert responds to the news. “I am so excited that we are presenting the Spanish Fly and Prelude from Esquif Canoes. I grew up paddling Frankie Hubbard’s designs and the Spanish Fly is my personal favourite. It is going to be
great to have an Esquif canoe made of a material that can take the kind of abuse that some boaters dish out.”

Check out the boats at the Open Air Demo or in Esquif booth #38110 at the Salt Palace.
