Canoecopia, the largest paddlesports consumer event in the world, is back in action, coming up before you know it March 10-12.
With over 100 confirmed speakers and presentations, more paddling and outdoor gear than you can imagine, and an amazing community of people, Canoecopia is the largest paddlesports consumer event in the world, regularly drawing scores of exhibitors, presenters and attendees. Plus, you gotta’ love those cheese curds and brewha’s afterwards.
The event takes place at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin. 1-Day tickets are $15 and 3-Day tickets are $30, (Ages 17 and under can get in free) plus parking each day is: $8.00. You can order your tickets online.
“We’re stoked to be back at 100% capacity after three years with no show, virtual show, and last year, a mixed format show,” says Rutabaga owner and show organizer Darren Bush. “There is a lot of energy from exhibitors, vendors, speakers, and attendees about being back together in our family.
“The most gratifying thing is to see new exhibitors coming to the show,” he adds. “It takes a lot of chutzpah to start and grow a small business during COVID, and they’re just poking their heads up to see what the paddling industry is up to. There’s a lot of new stuff showing up this year and it’s gratifying for all of us.”Have a look at the great lineup of presenters (will be announced any day now) and exhibitors.
What is Canoecopia?
In short, run by retailer Rutabaga, Canoecopia is the largest paddlesports consumer event in the world. Yep, the world. The Alliant Energy Center Exposition Hall is more than 250,000 square feet, and the main hall contains more than 100,000 square feet of kayaks, canoes, stand up paddleboards, outdoor equipment and clothing, with the best selections of the season. Many make the pilgrimage a “must go” every year for updating their gear and hob-knobbing around with other paddlers.
It’s also an educational event where you can learn about specific gear for your style of paddling, develop skills to get you where you want to go, and discover some of the many places to paddle, both near and far. If you’re interested in experiencing life on the water, spend the weekend. And for you exhibitors still on the fence, there’s still space available for folks who want to share their services, products, or destinations. It also allows select outfitters, guides, schools, and people with a specialized product that is outdoor or paddlesports-related to exhibit. Interested?
