Rollin’ with the Times: Latvian Canoe Association Hosts Virtual Eskimo Roll Contest

With 4952 roles down and 5048 rolls to go, now is the time to join the other 143 athletes from 11 countries in the first ever Remote Eskimo Roll Contest. The Latvian Canoe Association is hosting the Eskimo Roll Contest as an international challenge to support our communities in time of absence of competitions, and to encourage paddlers to find safe ways to compete and have fun with friends while keeping social distance.

The rules are simple. Test your speed with the Discipline NR.1 challenge by making a video of you rolling as many Eskimo Rolls as you can in 30 seconds. Or test your endurance with the Discipline NR. 2 challenge by doing as many Eskimo Rolls as you can in a row with no time limit (just no more than 5 seconds between rolls). Post the video on Instagram, Facebook, or Youtube with the hashtags #eskimo30sec, #competesafe, and #eskimowithnolimits, #competesafe, respectively. There’s opportunities for both solo and team rolls too.

Participating is free and you have the opportunity to win prizes from Peak UK, Vajda, Wave Up and Latvian Canoe Association’s other partners. Keep tabs on the number of rolls and the participating teams at The Eskimo Roll Contest Page.
