Here you are surrounded by the beauty and splendor of Costa Rica’s tropical rainforest, all while enjoying comfortable rooms overlooking the river, private baths, in-room electricity, lighted walkways at night, and sumptuous tropical meals and beverages, including our signature Sangria and robust Costa Rican coffee. There are no roads to Rios Lodge- the only way to access Rios Lodge is by rafting / kayaking (6km) in or hiking in on the indigenous trail (1km) after crossing a suspension bridge or cable car. Our amazing guides / staff will take care of your every need on the entrance & exit of your choice.
After rebranding the Rios Tropicales Pacuare lodge, to Rios Lodge in 2022, and massive investment in infrastructure upgrades (with a group of 18 special stewards), we now have a full commercial kitchen serving guests along with satellite wifi in our restaurant. We have upgraded our dining experience by installing a commercial kitchen. Developed by our french chef Luca, we accomodate all dietary needs all while serving 3 meals a day with amazing desserts. Our full bar offers guests tropical concoctions (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options) and the tea and coffee is always flowing & delicious.During your stay, guests enjoy a wide range of adventure activities included in their ecolodge stay, from whitewater tubing to an 8 zipline course over the Pacuare River, hiking through the rainforest, soaking in waterfall pools, night hikes to discover amazing rainforest creatures, yoga mats for daily practice, birdwatching, books, and board games. We also offer our guests a conservation tour for those that stay more than 4 nights where you get a chance to participate in the active conservation work occurring at our lodge.Sustainably built using reclaimed wood and totally off the grid with hydroelectric power, the Rios Lodge is an award-winning ecolodge.
