The World Rafting Federation (WRF) and the International Rafting Federation (IRF) say they are actively working on a merger project, and that 2025 will be “a time of exciting challenges and transition,” as the two groups continue to collaborate closely “in the spirit of mutual respect and shared goals.”
As part of this ongoing process, both organizations are committed to promoting a unified calendar for the Euro Cup 2025. Since the two sport rules have different point allocation systems, a special overall ranking will be created for all Euro Cup 2025 events. This ranking will be based on a transitional points system for the year 2025.

This format — in compliance with the technical and sporting regulations in place in each country, and as approved by the relevant national sports authorities — will allow organizers to choose to host one or more of the existing events (Sprint, H2H, RX, Slalom, Downriver) and to decide which set of sport rules (IRF or WRF) to apply.
The aim is to provide a rich calendar of events while avoiding application difficulties in individual countries. The preliminary calendar looks like this:
– Croatia (March 28 – 30, 2025/ Slime, Omiš, Croatia)
– France (May 17 – 18, 2025 / Whitewater Stadium, Pau, France)
– Bosnia (May 24 – 25, 2025 / Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina )
– Czech Republic (June 14 – 15, 2025 / Artificial Slalom Course Troja, Prague, Czechia)
– Czech Republic (June 21 – 22, 2025 / Artificial Slalom Course, Trnavka, Želiv, Czechia)
The point system for the Euro Cup 2025 Unified Calendar Overall ranking will be calculated as follows:
